Road crew has cleared a total of 5.2 miles from the Kohm Yah-mah-nee Visitor Center. They are now next to Emerald Lake and working their way to the Bumpass Hell parking area. The snowdrift at the north end of
Emerald Lake measured 28 feet high! The crew is expecting parts for the rotary blower next week, which will bring them back to full strength.

Thank you to CalTrans, who is now assisting with snow clearing beyond the Devastated Area on the north side of the park.

A heartfelt thank you to the road crew and the entire Park Service for making these unique areas accessible to all of us. And thanks for the progress updates!

I drove through in April on my way to Reno to visit family and it was so beautiful but also the scariest drive ever, we were lucky to follow a plow truck. Great job on keeping the roads clear

Thank you, a job well done!!! :-)

I’m so happy I was able to visit last year. Beautiful place to camp in July!

It is such a beautiful place. I have such fond memories of my trip to Lassen.

The crew working this is amazing!

Wow! Amazing photos! We will have to take a drive!

Making our first visit to this park this summer. Can’t wait!

Thx for Sharing Fascinating terrain -lots of snow!!! Beautiful

Even with all the snow, you can still see how gorgeous the park is!

I remember times that it was much deeper snow and park didn’t open till July the old ski 🎿 park was as far as you could go lots of fun

Love this area...lots of camping time as a little kid

Thank you to all the crew!!

Loved working there in 2017 what a great group of hardworking g folks miss the park but love living in Rush Creek

A favorite spot of mine. We spent our honeymoon at Lassen! ❤️🙏❤️

What year is this ?

when can you typically start to backpack in the park? the main areas?

Wonder if Manzanita Lake is still frozen///access??

Just like the old days have photos of my mom and dad at Lassen with snow that deep

Thank you CalTrans!!!!😁

Wait...the snow pack is still 28’ in May?? That’s incredible!

Jonathan Moore check out opening/closing chart for years passed!

So beautiful! Camped many times there. Mom would find a snow bank and the boys would crank the ice cream machine! 😊

Meghan King have your BF take you here! It’s one of my very favorite places. There are many other things to do in the area as well; including awesome fishing, hiking, and sightseeing. Burney Falls is 132 feet high, it is a must see if you are in the area.

Sorry people we are still in a drought!!!!! Right 🙄
